Resa Jacob

Resa leads the Legal Knowledge Engineering team - a group of lawyers who create Zuva’s built-in machine learning models. Prior to Zuva, Resa worked at Kira Systems and was responsible for training the general commercial built-in machine learning models. Prior to Kira Systems, she was a corporate lawyer at Goodmans LLP in Toronto. Resa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, baking and DIY projects.

Peter Sobiloff

Peter Sobiloff joined Insight Partners as a Managing Director in 1998, bringing to the firm 20 years of operational experience in executive leadership positions, sales management and worldwide operations. As an investor at Insight, Peter specializes in mentoring management teams to foster technological change in existing markets in order to produce greater productivity and deliver incremental value to customers. Peter enjoys working to create successful liquidity events that positively change the lives of entrepreneurs and employees. Among his investments are Argus Software (acquired by Altus Group), DWL (acquired by IBM), iMany (IPO), Kinnser Software (acquired by Mediware), Medidata Solutions (IPO), Planview (sold majority to Thoma Bravo), Primavera (acquired by Oracle), and Shunra (sold to HP).

Noah Waisberg

Prior to leading Zuva’s spin-out, Noah was CEO of Kira Systems (the leading contract analysis company for professional service firms) from founding to its sale to Litera in 2021. Before that, he was a corporate lawyer at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Among other awards, Noah was named the FT’s Intelligent Business ‘Market Shaper’ and ILTA’s Vendor Thought Leader. He’s the co-author of WSJ Bestselling book ‘AI for Lawyers’ (Wiley) and author of ‘Robbie the Robot Learns to Read’ (perhaps the world’s first children’s book on machine learning).

Matt Cote

Matt is a Development Manager at Zuva. He has more than 15 years of experience in the tech industry. This includes being part of the team at Kira Systems before the spin-out and having spent time at IBM as part of Watson Financial Services, as well as at Intelex Technologies (acquired by Fortive) building environmental, health, safety and quality management software. Matt is an avid Toronto sports fan (go Leafs, Raptors, Jays!), plays the bass guitar and enjoys camping or relaxing at the cottage by the lake.

François Longtin

As Zuva’s Product Manager, François collaborates closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to define product vision and strategies to make Zuva API the easiest-to-use programmatic Contracts AI solution on the market. François began his career at SunGard Financial Systems (now FIS) before joining Kira Systems (now Litera) as a Technical Solutions Consultant. He was Zuva’s first Solutions Engineer, and brings a user-centric view when delivering Zuva API to our users.

Chelsea Kerr

Chelsea leads the Design team at Zuva, which is responsible for understanding the experiences and pain points of our users and the design of our products and services. Prior to Zuva, Chelsea worked at Kira Systems where she worked on the main product with the larger Design team and headed up the design of two new products, one of which would later become Zuva’s primary product after the spin-out. Throughout her career, Chelsea has worked as a designer and front-end developer spanning a variety of industries.

Benedict O'Halloran

Ben is responsible for Finance, HR and Legal matters at Zuva. He has previously held roles as Chief Legal Officer at Verisure, corporate partner in the London office of Jones Day, and General Counsel UK & European Transactions for GE. Ben began his career working in film and television production and distribution in Canada. He has a B.A. in History from Harvard University, a B.A in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, an LL.B. from Canada’s Dalhousie University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD in France.

Alexander Hudek

Alex co-founded Kira Systems and served as President and CTO. Currently he is advisor to Zuva and others. He holds Ph.D and M.Math degrees in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Before legal AI, his research in the field of bioinformatics focused on finding similarities between DNA sequences using machine learning techniques. Alex enjoys mixing electronic music, playing with technology, and exploring food, drink, art, and other culture.

Adam Roegiest

Adam received his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo for his investigations into the design and evaluation of high-recall retrieval systems for electronic discovery. Prior to Zuva’s spin-out, Adam was part of the burgeoning Research team at Kira Systems, eventually becoming the Director of Research. Now at Zuva, Adam leads a variety of teams to help set product vision and ensure that the company is building solutions to meaningful problems.
